Thirsty Whale has the best Pub Burgers EVER! My family and I always stop in while we are in town for weekend getaways in the U.P. The owner is phenomenal!
Heard about this place from Northern adventures rafting. Said it had the best sandwiches. I thought a good sandwich sounded good. I ordered the olive Burger and it was Amazing!!! My husband ordered the jalapeno swiss and said he never had a better burger!!! Homemade potatoes were awesome as well.
Service was nice. Ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger and was not impressed with the blandness of the mushrooms. Tasted like they came straight from the can, no flavor. Need to be seasoned. Same issue with fried mushrooms. Also asked for mayo on the burger and didn't get it.
Ordered two cold drafts and the burgers. The burgers here really live up to the hype. I ordered the jalapeno and swiss. The jalapenos were in with the cheese so they didn't slide off the great tasting patty underneath. We let the server know our beers tasted a bit funky and maybe the lines needed changed. She took them right off our check. Would definitely come back.
